\"ShadeThe Town of Prescott Valley, AZ has been in need of shade for amphitheater for years at their outdoor stage located between city hall and the police station.\u00a0\"\"The\u00a0grand opening for this new amphitheater\u00a0was in 2015 \u2013\u00a0Click for More<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0The raised concrete stage is an ideal area for outdoor concerts being the focal point of a wide expanse of gently sloping lawn. Without a roof to protect performers from the hot Arizona sun and no built in sound system or lighting, performances were \u201cleft in the dark and out in the cold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"The Town asked Classic Recreation Systems to design a structure that would meet their budget and provide the desired amenities to fulfill their needs.\u00a0 Classic Recreation utilized our standard powder coated tubular steel frame and designed and fabricated custom tubular steel trusses. The roof included a 2\u201dx 6\u201d tongue and groove ceiling and standing seam roof to match the existing buildings. Classic Recreation designed this structure\u00a0to fit the stage which was extended approximately 15\u2019 in front. Work was wrapped up and the town\u00a0holds concerts under the structure.<\/p>\n

\"\"This \u00a0shade for amphitheater structure was part of an overall project with construction crews upgrading the outdoor Civic Center amphitheater and integrating the custom covering over the\u00a0stage.<\/p>\n

The roof construction project was completed in January, 2015 to ensure that upcoming holiday events would not be disrupted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\"\" are working hard to keep the site secure and they pulled the wood forms off the front of the stage this morning,\u201d the town\u2019s Capital Projects Coordinator Kim Moon\u00a0said at the end of the project.<\/p>\n

She added that, based on recommendations from the town\u2019s Parks and Recreation staff, the custom Sierra Model pre-fabricated roof matches the architecture of the Civic Center complex that includes the police and library buildings.<\/p>\n
