Shade Shelter at the Town Center Park

Shade Shelter at the Town Center Park

An Orlando model metal shade shelter with tongue & groove sub-roof is featured at a Town Center Park in Utah. This 20′ x 30′ structure manufactured by Classic Recreation has a 10′ dormer roof on each side to accentuate its visual appeal. It is a central attraction at the J. Lynn Crane Park in Herriman Utah which is the realization of former Mayor Crane’s vision for a community gathering place where residents socialize and play. Along with the shade shelter, the park adjacent to city hall offers a bandstand, all-ability playground, pavilion, grass area, fire pits, gazebo, a history walk, an interactive river, splash pad, and ice ribbon.

The shade shelter at J. Lynn Crane Park and the nearby playground were installed by Sonntag Recreation LLC based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The park has already become an amazing space for city events, has a food truck event one evening per week, is consistently packed with families, and the ice ribbon is a big hit.

“This project exemplifies the value-added to public spaces when site specific strategies, historical context, community needs, and innovative solutions are at the heart of the design, and subsequently carried through construction. The creative year-round elements offer engaging and interactive features that will no doubt draw people into the site and in turn, highlight our profession’s value to the greater community for many years to come.”

Hello, We do both Commercial and residential exterior construction.
Currently we build these type of structures from scratch, however, a kit or system would be a great asset to us.
